Biography
Mohamed Abdelhadi Mezi is the co-founder of Volz, an Algerian startup enabling Algerian travelers to purchase flight tickets and hotel rooms online, using local payment methods.
Founded in 2023, Volz is focused on the Algerian market for now. The company claims a $1M net profit in 2025, and recently raised a ~$5M Series A (in local currency).
Prior to Volz, Mohamed worked at Marriott International for over two years.
What problem are you solving?
Before Volz, Algerian travelers had no way to buy plane tickets online using local payment methods. They had to go to physical travel agencies and queue. The same postulate was true for booking and paying for hotel rooms.
Volz helps Algerian travelers buy flight tickets and hotel rooms online, using local payment methods such as cash and local debit cards.
